About Men's Rea™
Reconstructing the Future of Men.

Men's Rea™ stands as the inaugural division of The Elizabeth Tweneboah Foundation, dedicated to the rigorous exploration of masculinity, power, and autonomy. At its core, Men's Rea™ employs legal reasoning to guide men in constructing a system of self-governance that propels them toward purposeful living. Drawing inspiration from the legal doctrine of mens rea—the mental state accompanying human action—our division investigates how intention and awareness inform masculine identity.

Founded in response to the well-documented crisis in modern masculinity—escalating male isolation, diminishing opportunities for relational practice, and the scarcity of spaces where men can reflect honestly and out loud—Men's Rea™ leads with the belief that one's deeper excavation of their self-understanding is fundamental to their ability to live with integrity. We thus maintain that structured dialogue that offers men non-judgemental and intellectual spaces to challenge and reframe misleading contemporary discourse around men and masculinity is essential to restoring men’s inner purpose and expanding their agency.

Our approach unfolds through public seminars, individual mentorship, and social campaigns; all of which apply legal reasoning to the most fixed dimensions of life: identity, relationships, vocation, and purpose. Each offering is tailored for those ready to engage deeply with Professor Christine E. Ohenewah, a law-trained educator, former White Collar criminal defense lawyer, and founder of ETF whose methodology converges legal principles with humanistic thought.

Men's Rea™ embodies the pedagogical vision that will shape the university we are building: education as impactful dialogue, law and legal reasoning as vital languages for human understanding, and power as the study of one’s relationship to self and society. While rooted in men’s development, our programs invite all who seek to interrogate and unlearn reductive narratives about men and masculinity through legal and humanistic inquiry. Participation centers on men but remains open to anyone committed to exploring masculinity, power, and autonomy with rigor and good faith.
